What is an EarthRanger Training Workshop? How is it different than previous EarthRanger User Conferences?
EarthRanger Training Workshops are designed to enhance your knowledge of the platform and its customized use for day-to-day and management needs. Unlike the broader EarthRanger User Conferences, these workshops focus on interactive sessions, in-depth training, and region-specific challenges, providing personalized attention in smaller groups. This format allows attendees to delve deeper into specific areas and gain relevant insights and skills tailored to their conservation efforts.
What are the accommodation costs?
Expected room costs for each delegate for the entire conference lasting threenights are anticipated to be as follows (all rates subject to change):
All meals during the workshops (breakfast, lunch, dinner).
Dinner on arrival, lunch and dinner on days 1 and 2, and breakfast on departure
Two drinks (wine and malt) per person per night during networking sessions.

What costs are attendees responsible for?
The attendee is responsible for airfare, airport transfers, and any remaining accommodation costs (beyond the discounted rate for shared accommodation).
What is the maximum capacity for the workshops?
Each workshop has a maximum capacity of 100 attendees. Only one person per organizational site can sign up initially, with potential for more attendees if space permits. If room is still available, we’ll gladly open it up to more individuals from organizations in July.
In what languages will the events and training be conducted?
The workshops will primarily be conducted in English. However, the workshop in Panama City, Panama, will primarily be conducted in Spanish to cater to Spanish-speaking participants. Depending on attendance, we will explore whether we can offer breakout sessions in French.

Can I attend more than one workshop?
To ensure broad representation and diversity within the EarthRanger community, we ask that attendees initially register for only one workshop.
Are travel grants available for attendees?
We do not offer travel grants, as we have significantly reduced the cost of accommodations and conferencing to ensure participation. This discount, provided through the generous support of the Allen Institute for AI (AI2), helps make the workshops accessible to a wide range of participants.
